Thousands of people in Idaho are either homeless or on the verge of homelessness. Host Marcia Franklin talks with a previously homeless woman about her situation and with three shelter operators from different parts of the state about the trends they are seeing, how they are assisting their clients, and what the ongoing needs are for their facilities and for the homeless population.

Sandwiches and Support

A new Coeur d’Alene deli that delivers boxed lunches offers more than sandwiches packed with meat and cheese, accompanied by a homemade peanut butter cookie. It helps provide mentally ill people with the support services they need to rejoin the work force.

Home Partnership Foundation Award

The Society of St Vincent de Paul North Idaho was awarded $16,000 from the Home Partnership Foundation in support of the St Vincent de Paul North Idaho Warming Center.
